A longtime resident of Ohio, Seana Rutherford received a certificate in practical nursing from the Central School of Practical Nursing in Cleveland, an associate of applied science from Lorain County Community College in Elyria, a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Akron, and a family practice master of science in nursing from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike. She has been an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society since she was an undergraduate. She also holds certification as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with the state of Ohio.
